Omg yes! Most of these stories where they put an adult in the body of a child, they just have intellect but the emotional maturity of an actual infant. most of the time I don't even know why they do this trope especially with this story like the story would still make complete sense if not better if they were normal kids.

Yeah! since they barely ever mention the reincarnation and they use no knowledge of their past life, not names, education, memories of family and friends, nothing except polite speech, so there's no point in making that a thing if all that it adds to the plot is, "they're mature and use manners with everyone" when the mature aspect could be because they had to grow up and become more mature to survive rurahel mentally, and the manners part could be them being accustomed to speaking formally to her as well, in order to get less of a beating. And even if the excuse was that it was a thing they were used to in their past lives, being 5, if they were taught not to speak that way since birth, they'd already be used to using impolite speech, so it's been too long for something like it being a habit in their past lives to affect them now, since they're old enough to have adapted to their new lives anyways, and all everyday habits like speech, manners, and all that would come from their new lives now. So really, the reincarnation adds nothing to the plot, and the little that it does add to it could work even without it. It's unnecessary, really, though I really do hope they use it for something because i like it when, in isekai stories, the past life is actually a plot element.
aren't they grown adults??? why act like they're actually kids? this is kinda annoying tbh
