The fox is Arien an Arjen's guardian, but his power is only strong when they're happy. When they're sad and down, he's weak. Thats why he can't always be there for them because they have a low self esteem which means he can only watch from the shadows.
But still!! If twins know they have a guardian, they'd have much more self-esteem
here’s a spoiler , he does tell them soon and it only makes arien’s self esteem worse because she thinks that he’s only her brothers guardian and not hers and she thinks she doesn’t have one (even though he clearly stated he was their guardians)
thats so... i mean their teacher told them that she have higher magic compared to her brother right? so shouldnt it be baby boy who would have lower self esteem? Σ( ￣□￣||)
Well but then again he seemed pretty happy about it and said he would make it up in his swordsmanship skills so not really sure abt that one.
