Actually it’s really smart. His problem isn’t particularly that he wants his son to get married to a woman, it’s just that the Uke is more independent and still wants to work despite being an Ama. Beasts need to reproduce more and the Father’s genes are excellent, so of course the more grandkids the better, but the Uke can’t handle that right now, he’s working and it’s causing problems for him and his workplace just having one kid, so they can’t have another one so soon, but if they don’t he might have a hard time reproducing with age. The Father is just taking in a very stupid way, but I think the main point here is that ITS NOT HIS BUSINESS. Sure Beasts should regenerate but it’s not up to him whether they have more kids or not. He’s a smart man and he makes sense but he shouldn’t butt in. It’s stupid to force people to have more kids, it’s not anyone’s business but the couple’s lol

Don't apologize, luv. I understood the point you were trying to make and I agree. He's not "smart" because he's trying to just ruin his son's relationship, he's "smart" because he's trying to prevent his species from dying out. He just so happens to be going about it in a gross and archaic way. I also think something has happened in his past to make his way of thinking so warped, we're just not there yet in the story. I think a lot of times, readers forget about the "beast" dynamic in the story and expect them to handle all situations like humans when they are not.
With all that said, he's still foul as fuck for trying to separate his sons family.
