Athy has a whole arsenal of life experiences in her back pocket, being that she died twice and suffered through both, so she mature and not naive since she has the mentality of 37 years old, so she is not underdeveloped at all. And all she wanted was a good life where she doesn't suffer and have people who care and love her, especially her father.

Now before you call me something that isn't in this comment, please read it all before calling me Jeanette stan or not thinking about Athy suffering and how Jeanette caused it and (insert rant here). I just observing how Jeanette get this amount hatred, I don't have emotion for her just pity and hope she gets a better life. Funny thing I pitted her from the beginning cause you can see she's a pawn(and pawns don't know their pawns until they end up dying). Her being a chimera in mythology brings misfortune and has to be killed to archive happiness (where my mind automatically goes to full metal alchemist...yes I thought of Nina).

First, off Jeanette didn't cause Athy suffering; Claude did that by using black magic to kill his emotion and memory of Athy's mom, then he cast Athy away for something that's isn't her fault if he didn't do that this situation won't have happened. Jeanette was giving a home, food, clothes, and education, but we know from real life and stories that don't mean crap if you don't have people to love and care about you. Honestly, Jeanette kind of reminds me of a story my friend told about a girl she cants help understand had conflicted with due to her upbringing let's call her N, N was 'cared' for but not mentally she had a naive outlook on life and was kind of delusional only because of what N was told at a young age only difference is they said her thoughts and body belong to her future husband and that only way she can archive true happiness.

Anyway, Jeanette was told from a young age that she was the daughter of the king and had sister, as a young child she fabricated this image she will have this loving family that she was craving for and won't be lonely anymore. People forget to remember she is a child that is immature, naive and has some delusion about life (my mind going to my sister as a said that). Unless they had a hard and suffering childhood or know someone who has, their outlook is going to be different and how they question people's intentions. Honestly, this amount of hatred is strange because you hate a brainwashed pawn that was born to be a pawn and destined to die. Also, sheltered since she doesn't have any thoughts of her own, then probably be discarded. Ironically, that how most villains stories are, then they get reincarnated, determine for happiness or revenge.

Honestly, I'll stop here because this is a lot. (⊙…⊙ )

true!!! because of her experiences as an adult and as a person that has read the (original) story, athy makes choices because she has these experiences. one of the things i like about the manwha is that it reminds us that "hey athy is an adult" although she may act childish sometimes.

jeanette is experiencing her life for the first time and mentally she ACTUALLY IS a child. she never purposely try to harm athy, shes just a lonely kid destined to be manipulated ;-; i think a lot of people hate her because shes a second lead female that "threatens" the royal fam.

a lot of people would also say that she was a bitch in the novel and to which i say I DONT CARE!! it doesnt matter!! spoon has already deviated from the manhwa so many times for the sake of fleshing out the characters and making us understand their pain. its kinda obvious by now that jeanette would end up getting manipulated to do something bad because of her cursed mana. you dont have to like jeanette, but ignoring her pain and hardships when spoon put a lot of care to flesh her out is so dumb ( ̄へ ̄)

Also remember the majority of readers here are also children lmao. So I’m not too suprised by their immature mindset regarding jeanette. Still very sad, children can be so cruel.

I didn't want to write it, but it came to the point where it's just sad for blaming a child for being a child that like hating my sister and the kids I take care of. I can even admit at 12 to 16. I was naive, and how I looked at things and people, was immature (due to my brain being underdeveloped) until my mom took guardianship over two young girls. I used to hate characters for no reason just because they're 'interfering' than the people actually doing the wrong. Claude, I love Claude, most due his character development but I'll not blind to his faults. He initially started this himself by doing black magic......on himself
