I agree, however there’s nothing we can do about it. I think authors choose princes because they’re the highest in power.

At least it’s not forced. It actually kinda makes sense since they both have similar experiences growing up. (Being hated just for existing). So they were able to connect with each other through that instead of just some bs like “omg you’re so interesting and unique! You’re not like those other noble girls! You don’t see me as a crown prince you just see me as a person!”.
