Eh, it what a general test of like you red blood cells, white blood cells, potassium, bun, creatinine, electrolytes etc. It’s not realllyyy ordered for a cold but it’s still good just to see that the blood levels are within range :3
Depends by the physician's request, they could just request a complete cbc count, chemistry test isn't that necessary for cold.
Sometimes u need actually..CBC or the blood test mentioned here is literally the 1st test done in any circumstances..He has a cold..so it may be an upper respiratory tract infection..so might need antibiotics which depends on the CBC/blood test report..
