This is just my opinion but I see it as she pretty much had no choice but to become a knight. She doesn’t find honor in blood she’s and that combined with the lack of positive parenthood early on has led her to have rock bottom self esteem. We also don’t know how much the other guys have interacted with her and in what way. For all we know they’ve only met once or twice or treat her as a passive acquaintance which would lead her to think she’s just a face in the crowd. She knows the duke likes her like a daughter but she’s hesitant to take things she doesn’t think she deserves when she believes she’s also already taken so much. She just wants a quiet peaceful life with her bro (best character) and I can respect that. Ah sorry I just saw your argument comment. I’m not trying to persuade you but I hope this gives you some insight into why some people are fine with her.

I’m irratated with her too honestly not as much as other stories I’ve read with the same character type though. Maybe it’s due to the Duke not encouraging her behaviour and being all “yo people care for you, you can’t just throw their words/actions in the trash.” Not word for word.
I only liked that cause In most stories I read all the characters are like “omg you poor lost pitiful lamb” they never actually give the main character logical advice. I don’t mind her going out into the world and figuring herself out, I just don’t like the way she did it as it’s really not a healthy way to start a journey for herself and also the people around her.
Everyone is talking about the Male characters being stalkers but I don't see it like that. I'm on chapter one so far and I already absolutely hate the female lead. "Nobody will miss me." GIRL- STFU. It's obvious a lot of people will miss her if she even has friends willing to track her down. I'm aware they have feelings for her but still, Her comrades obviously care about her. I think it was so unfair for her to just leave like that without telling them anything. It was really cruel. I understand her not wanting the rewards and thinking she doesn't deserve happiness but gag, It still sucked. Why the hell did she fight if she would be so negative about it in the end. Her hard work paid off and she should be happy that she saved a bunch of lives. I honestly don't care how sad her backstory is. Female lead makes me rage. And even after she said she didn't want happiness, The next thing you see is her smiling by some shelf. (?) I just can't stand female characters who think they're all alone even when they have people with them. I hope she faces some huge character development. Her friends have a right to go search for her after she left without a word about her plans. Please don't reply with an argument. I won't change my mind about her. Maybe after I read more but not likely.
