No it was probably depression from the situation and liz couldn't let that happen.
Nathan trusted someone and they used her and tossed her besides her better judgment. She's not a bad person but very naive, high strung, and bubbly so it would hurt to see that personality crippled.
What happened at the end? Is Natalie not Natalie or something? Was she also reincarnated?
