I agree 100%. The poor boy just needs someone that will be there for him and take care of him. It's a huge responsibility, and also somewhat tiresome, for a teen to have to take care of himself and a baby brother all the time, alone.
im not sure if daiki has feelings for asumi but since he was forced(?) in a position by his parents wherein he had no choice but to take care of his brother all on his own, he probably thought naruse was doing the same thing to asumi. he thought asumi had to take care of ichika unwillingly too which kinda(?) explains his animosity towards naruse. he also feels jealous bc he felt like naruse and ichika was taking asumi away from him (even tho he aint even yours in the first place boy lmao calm down).
still not clear if daiki really feels romantically for asumi. right now, im just assuming he’s looking for someone to rely on since he feels lonely and since asumi is someone from the past that used to take care of him when he was little, he probably longed for that familiarity and kinda got jealous when he saw asumi is taking care of someone else now (ichika & naruse) and doesnt care that much abt him anymore.
ALL IN ALL DAIKI IS STILL A KID GUYS AND HE NEEDS LOVING ATTENTION TOO SINCE HIS PARENTS ARE ALWAYS NOT AROUND SO PLS DONT HATE HIM FOR THIS. HE JUST WANTS TO FEEL TAKEN CARE OF FOR ONCE.
