Lmao i hate it when they're not related i think it's more interesting and being blood related makes the relationship more forbidden and troubled! I think the step-brother mechanic is always a plot convenience thing or just to make it more legal or something
if ure asking me, personally for me anything about step brothers / brothers i dont vibe with it, i know its possible to mistook ur dependency to ur sibling especially to ur big brother and think about it as romantic love / sexual attraction. theres probably a whole study about it. but i just dont like those story and its just weird for me to see them loving each other romantically. im not familiar w Love or Hate but if they were brought up since they were small but still fell in love w each other or sth like that i dont vibe w it

I think incest is just without doubt wrong with or without blood relation, if you're considered brothers, being in love with each other it's incest and it's not ok. That being said, people are probably ok with step siblings because it feels "less wrong" because they could be considered childhood friends or something while being blood relatives is "wronger"...
