Okay I reread the whole thing because the "importance" of Natalie's last name was bothering me. She's not a descendant of someone from 500 years ago. The MC just asked for her name when their first met and Natalie only gave her first name. The MC made a comment that she forgot to ask fro Natalie's last name. That's it.
