It depends I guess.. My mom and dad have 23year age gap, my mom said she had no idea at the time of their age difference because my dad only looks like in his late 20's (according to my mom)... Also Catherine Zeta-Jones & Michael Douglas have more than 20years age gap and they've been together for more than 20years too... In one episode of Ghost Adventures, Zak encountered a couple when they were gathering info and the couple mentioned they've been together for almost 20years and when asked the secret to their happy life, they said honesty and keeping the romance as if it was still their Day1...
What was their age gap again? Something like 8 years, 16 and 24? My fiance and myself have a 7 year gap and were around those ages at first (I am the younger one) and it's seriously one of my favorite things in couples and in manga. So long as the age gap isn't TOO divisive, because it can be hard to bridge generational age gaps. Different times, different pop culture, different lifestyles, perspectives etc. I've yet to see any couples with like a 20 year age difference work out romantically lmao.
