So I just went and reread it ten time but it’s along the line “when we consume human energy”. The one who taught him all about kissing and sEx is incubus. So I guess incubus consume human’s energy when they have sex with them therefore a sweet dream to human, maybe. And since human consider kissing as a “sacred ritual” it is “common courtesy” to respect that and not kiss them when they’re in delirious state. So I guess for incubus it is a give and take physical interaction. All they need is human’s energy while they provide a “sweet dream”, similar to a really sweet wet dream ( idk if the human will remember or not), so they don’t need to take a step further and kiss them if you get what I mean.
Since nauh our child is some that doesn’t want rix to hate him, and he knows rix is under influence of curse, if rix tries to kiss it, and or whatnot, nauh might have felt he(nauh) is tarnishing human’s(rix) scared ritual so I guess he doesn’t want that or Rix to feel remorse because he did a “scared ritual” with Nauh while under influence.
But this is my speculation not sure if it right. But I makes sense to me or whatever haha
