In the story this webtoon is based off, the emperor used to be in a relationship with the
concubine in his previous life, before he suddenly died and left the concubine heartbroken. The concubine is a sorcerer and when he meets his reincarnated love again they resume their relationship, despite the emperor already being married. The emperor wants a child that looks like his beloved concubine, so he forces the queen to sleep with him and bear his child. And bc the sorcerer is actually really old and only keeping himself alive with magic, he plans to transfer his own soul into the body if his son so he can be with the emperor even after his original body dies. If this webtoon continues to follow the story it's adapted from, don't expect them to be brought to justice for any of this btw.
