Time to bitch about my life

So this girl in my class said that she likes that the character in the book were reading is white cause it makes her feel comfortable and relatable and its hard to relate to someone who isn't white and my black ass is trying to keep my mouth shut cause i know if i open it ill be breathing fire. Like im guessing she didn't mean to come off racist and shit but whatever she did in my opinion, like are country has been Built on White supremacy there has been little to none POC representation till recently. Like who tf do you think we had to relate to, like obviously it’s easier to relate to someone of the same race but like theres so many other things, why is that such a positive in your head. Anyway what made me so pissed off is that she said this to the whole class and my teacher said nothing Im just like wtf your not gonna response to that after everything thats happened this year YOUR NOT GONNA RESPOND.
