if my boss did that i would tell him, it's my day off so i want to paid overtime rates plus to be reimbursed for the money i lost for the tickets i bought for my day out that i can't go to now. if i didn't get written confirmation right then i would just refuse to do it, what is he gonna do fire me for not working on my day off? i doubt HR would like that, neither would any employee rights agencies, someone who would like it is a unfair dismissal lawyer.
