uhhh it is fatphobic ok!!! the author clearly thinks fat = ugly/undesirable, thats why the heroine works so hard to be fit, and that is fine too!!! and lets not pretend there is no gross representation of fat ppl in manhwas. lots of villanous side charas are portrayed as fat and disgusting.
no one rly is glorifying obesity, its jus most ppl internalized hating fat ppl. and not everyone has the capacity to work out and be fit, it is ableist to say so.
if ur healthy and fit, that is gr8 congrats the world loves u, but fat ppl are constantly degraded. these manhwas are peak patriarchal fantasy, even yaois are extremely homophobic.
Yup! Lizzo (in an interview) stated that she exercises often and eats healthy. Again! Beyond the layer of physical appearance she is way healthier than me too.
Lizzo goes off on the stage, dancing x singing etc. But the character in this webtoon would be dying and very out of breath, and so would I.
Again! Beyond physical appearance is the state of the body internally; cholesterol levels, body fat %, endurance, stamina, immunity etc.
I'm skinny (naturally), since I have a really fast metabolism and I bet my entire storage of snacks, that my body fat % is high.
I would consider myself border-line unhealthy, only cos I started working out recently, sooo hopefully we're gon get somewhere. (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

The author isn't fat-shaming.
It's called getting fit, do research, find me a well-supported and accurate article stating that being overweight (/underweight) is healthy.
My mate was informed she was 'obese' due to her body-fat %, BMI as well as her high cholesterol levels. So she started what you can call, 'a journey' to lose weight in order to--
~~DUM DUM DUM DUMMMM~~
get healthy.
Mind you, she was the cutest lil munchkin, but I would much rather her be healthy and reduce her risk of dying due to the multiple possible sicknesses.
You all really do be obsessed with saying everything is fat-shaming when girl is just tryna be fit, like dood stop glorifying being unfit.
YOU DON'T CHOOSE TO BE OVERWEIGHT?...TRUE! (in most cases).
THEN WORK TO CHANGE. No, not for 'society' but for yourself, your future, your body and your life.
You could be the heaviest person on earth but if you're trying your best, whether that be:
- Getting out of your bed
- Taking a 5 minute walk
- Doing light exercises etc.
In my eyes you're better than those that don't try at all, even if they weigh less than you.
(The things I listed may sound simple and easy but for some people it is a VERY challenging thing, something you have to have a lot of will to do.)
All things I said refer to both sides of the spectrum. Whether you're:
Overweight/underweight.
Both = UNFIT.
