Personally, I feel like the gender-bend friend became a girl but still identified as a male (based on how tense the friend is on the topic of gender, attitude, and the secrets/mysteries that the mc isnt aware of). I was really hoping that the friend changed gender because she/he (idk bruh) wanted to but instead the mangaka decided to bring in this "syndrome" that turns people into the other gender. (Please dont attack me. Im all for trans rights but smth about this doesnt seem right. )
