it seems the story is about Menou plotting to kill akari. While akari having no idea about the kills. I'm going to assume that the whole story is going to be Menou using different ways to kill her and none working and each time Menou has to come up with a excuse of why Akari was knocked out. The first boy that was killed seems to be irrelevant to the plot and was just killed to give a setting for us. There is prob romance involved with Akari and Menou too.
At this point i think i rather read about "strays" getting together to protect themselves from the church and also having to protect themselves from the kings ppl ._. #－.－)
