He was originally a loyal soldier under Ra and served them. Seth/Set is the patron of wind, storms, darkness, streingth, war, conflict and chaos. Some of the lore changes depending on the dynasties and the gods more prominently worshipped tho so keep that in mind. (Ive looked into a bit since I've wanted to write a story about him for years)
Guys for your information, seth original position wasnt the god of destruction, it was the opposite :(
