Your just blinded by his apperance. He doesn't deserve his children's affection cuz honestly, he never spend time with them. I already don't like him but after reading the spoiler I threw him in the trash bin. He totally deserved what happened to him in the end.

In a story where mc goes back in time, there is ALWAYS a reason. As we can see ALREADY, there was a misunderstanding between her and the knight squadron.
If you can't see where this is going, I'll say it.
THERE IS SOMETHING WE DON'T KNOW YET. SOMETHING OUR MC DOESN'T KNOW. AND SOMETHING WE WILL FIND OUT. So remain patient and see where this is going.
We're literally only 10 chapters in. Take it easy, cos REMINDER this is a world of magic. If that brat could scheme so deeply (I swear those 3 chapters had me wishing I could strangle her), AND fake the whole 'I am the nymph look at these water spirits' THEN...
Gurl is gon have her ways of dealing with the dad, whether it's magic, or her looking EXACTLY like him OR her being named, Cossette, the name his beloved wanted to use if the had a daughter AND again...we are the reader a 3rd person in this situation, we ONLY know what the author wants us to know.
