i got a bad feeling

I thought Winter's thank you was related with Jane letting him go outside by himself because his master/creator didn't allowed him to get out of the house. And also - I don't know if I'm correct but it's what I understood - that thank you may be related to the heartbeats he started feeling while he was with Jane (last chapter)
