I just want to speak out my opinion about the MC's tendency to always cry. You don't have to agree with me. tbh, I don't find her cries annoying at all and here is the reason why.
First, some people are not strong enough to hold their emotions especially when met with stress. Eljay was obviously stressed out from many factors. These stressors could be the seal she got and knowing that aseph doesn't have one, the fact that she knows and FELT the pain and trauma of aseph (in the modern life that she had, we could see that she dreamt about them and saw herself INSIDE the events with aseph), and aseph himself.
Second, who would be in the right mind to be able to act normally while you know and kind of experience (again from her dreams that affected her irl in the modern world) the pain of aseph? Plus, let us all consider the fact that while she loves aseph, she is also aware that aseph is a killer- a villain and therefore could potentially hurt her.
Third, while I do get why some of the readers are frustrated with Eljay crying and not saying the mark to aseph earlier of the chaps, still it could still be justified. If you think abt on what happened to aseph when he saw Elissa having her mark, he instantly turned towards the dark side. What if Eljay did tell him early on? What would happen? Aseph still isn't stable enough to spare eljay's life, or maybe he could suddenly become a "demon" because of this. The timing of Eljay's confession was just right bcos Eljay was able to build up the trust and loyalty towards aseph; so when she finally spilled it out, aseph was able to trust her and compose himself.
Yes! I agree with you. I understand why people are annoyed at her but personally I don't find it annoying. My best friend cries a lot and because I understand her I don't mind! Infact, its better than just bottling it up. You're points are very good.
