To be honest, whenever there's a chapter without the NK my interest plummets. I mean, like him or hate him, he IS the plot pretty much, him and her. All this other stuff just feels like random side-quests to me rn. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
The little kid though is probably the NK in his power-saving mode. He seemed to run out of power last we saw him, and well, there are other stories out there where spirits who are weakened take a child-like form.
Either that or he saved their kid when he saved her, but it feels like that should've been forshadowed earlier, like when she went back to the netherworld after being revived.
