Ok so Hadith the ML wants his bride to be less than 14 years old but he’s not a pedophile.As its explained in manga about the wars between guardian deities of each countries,The goddess of Kratos is actually a bat shit crazy yandere who’s interested in Hadith as he’s the dragon emperor,thus she kills everyone close to him and that makes him appear as the “cursed emperor”.He was sent to war since a young age but it was noticed that on every of his birthday a crown prince was killed till the king finally gave the throne to him out of fear of death and his mother commited sucide by hanging saying cruel shit to him and stuff but it was all the goddess fault.He would’ve have become the emperor without her killing as it was his destiny.Her killing them only made his reputation worse.And so that Crazy Goddess can literally posses any girl that is 14+ And thus making life for Hadith hell.So he chose Jill but there’s more to it,apparently there is a legend about how the dragon bride with her death sealed the goddess away and all.So Hadith and Rave wanted to use Jill as a bait too.But after Jill saved him once on the ship and once again by saving his reputation in the naval city,he kind of fell in love with her cause Jill was literally the first person to ever protect him and was so kind to him.Tho he really didn’t want to and he kept saying in the novel that she should love him but he can’t fall in love with her.Well after the Crazy Goddess attacked,Hadith went to fight her and left jill behind in the castle with Rave to be protected even tho he could’ve used her as bait.Rave told her the truth but she didn’t mind because Hadith too was really kind to her and thus she went out to protect Hadith and to prevent the tragedy thats explained in manga ch 3 and saving Hadith’s reputation so he could be loved by his people for whom he works so hard.And wham she was so cool she broke the spear in which the Goddess resided in two thus making Hadith sure of his feelings and him proposing to her and saying that he loves her.Jill too tells him that she loves him.Thats the first arc.
There’s this extra arc about the original Timeline and Hadith’s suffering and i swear thats so FREAKIN DARK and if the manga adds those chapters,they MUST be good.I felt like crying reading them.Hadith needs all the love in the world!!!!

This arc was really dark and heavy and I don’t know if i can do my best explaining it but i’ll try!
In the original timeline,Hadith having not been proposed to by Jill stayed in Kratos till his normal schedule and arrived at the naval port right after the shitass marquis had conspired against naval port army and succeeded (I skipped this part in Jill’s rebirth timeline,actually the duke tried to conspire against the naval port army by having his own daughter Sophia kidnapped and killed and blaming the naval port guards that were from the Emperor thus indirectly blaming Hadith and firing them and appointing his own guards at the port,finally getting power,Jill prevented that after her rebirth but not in OG timeline)
That shitass Marquis then tried to force smol innocent lil girls on Hadith implying that Hadith’s a pedophile (that part was so disgusting) but Hadith Naturally turned them all down and on the way to his room he meets Sophia who has obviously sneaked out of her room (Sophia is a really good girl and she befriended Jill after she helped jill prevent her father’s conspiracy in the rebirth timeline.She’s his Daughter from second wife so Marquis obviously hates her and even tried to abuse her once in the past after she was rejected by Hadith as a bride.But Hadith made her his tea friend to protect her)Anyways,she reports to Hadith about the conspiracy.Hadith says he will do smth about it and teleports her back into her room.Now the gruesome parts start,my memory is a bot hazy on these but what I remember is
Hadith checks out the prison beneath the castle late at night and finds Sofia standing there all bloody and the dead bodies of 10 year old girls who were rejected by him all around her.But he discovers Sofia is possessed by the goddess bitch and then goddess bitch tells her the story of what happened:The marquis was torturing the girls refused bu Hadith.Sofia arrived on the spot and tried to stop and then the MARQUIS FREAKIN STRANGLED HIS OWN DAUGHTER TO DEATH and right after she died,she got possessed by the goddess and started swinging sofia’s dead body.The marqus got scared and escaped and then Hadith arrived.The goddess then sets the city and castle on fire and to purify it Hadith had to use fire of purification a
But by doing so people thought he was the culprit.In the meeting next day,It was concluded the story we know about sofia going crazy and killing others then commiting sucide was what happened last night.Marquis still being a scum said it was Hadith’s fault and wanted compensation.Hadith knowing the truth alone killed the marquis on spot (revenge for sophia as her name is going to be blemished for all eternity) once again seen as a villain and cursed emperor by others and forcefully claimed the navel port.
Normal Trivia:Jill’s Rebirth has smth to do with Goddess.Jill mentioned it to the Goddess when she was breaking the spear and the Goddess replied with HOW COULD YOU REMEMBER and all
Hadith obviously believed his brother so much but was betrayed by that same brother in original timeline.He believes in him blindly in rebirth timeline too.Jill is cautious tho
The second arc is really long and still ongoing.

So ML wasn't in love with Sophia? I've read a review in Novelupdates saying that ML was using MC as bait then after she died and the curse is broken, he could be with Sophia or something. LOL. But super glad that wasn't the case.
