with the depth of their friendship it seemed normal that Arata would want to help Yukino out (especially since Yukino has been Arata's rock throughout his ordeal). IMO, it just I feels like.. the crying is a little unnecessary.
But yea, I've homeschooled & tutored some japanese kids (around middleschool and hs) and some had really eff'd up stories of being bullied its just sad.

IRL, people like Arata would piss me off so much lmao I hate it when people meddle in my life, regardless of who they are or their intentions. Obviously, he's gonna be the catalyst for Yukino's change, so that's good.
Regarding the reason for Yukino's walls, it makes sense. I've taught kids in high school in Japan, and the bullying and gaslighting that happens in schools is unreal. I wouldn't be surprised if the girl Yukino tried to help either commited suicide or became a hikkikomori. The kids also probably changed their attitude towards Yukino after that. Conformity is a big deal in Japan-- speaking out and going against the majority usually have troubling consequences. And so as to not rock the boat further, he's erected walls. He's kind and likable but will run/avoid should the focus be put on him. The band issue-- rather than defending himself, he simply quit and left. It's sad, and again, Arata will be good for him since Arata's persistent.
