So I am at chapter 33 and I feel like until now they didn’t really explain why the prince used to hate the mc during their first life, at the beginning of their relationship. The first Elise was a typical bitchy villain, right, but during their first years of engagement, she didn’t commit any crimes and didn’t do wrong to the prince directly (when she offered him tea, she looked normal). So I don’t see why the prince would do something bad to her, such as humiliating her publicly, when he danced with her and she couldn’t follow his steps. For the rest of their interactions, the current Elise says he hated her so it means that he might have done other things in that direction. If you dislike someone because of their personality, it would make more sense to just ignore them. Maybe the prince actually did that most of the time, but Elise says he “hated” her, which a more stronger word, so I don’t know.
