I mean it’s not that weird to consider the hobby of reading bl or yaoi is derived from Japan. And in Japan you can be considered an otaku for basically anything, it’s not insult unless it’s being used in that sort of way. But it’s all a choice too, if you don’t have to put labels on yourself, then don’t. Just enjoy yourself.
Thanks for your explanation. I didnt mean to sound rude but I guess it was insensitive on my part and the words used were pretty harsh n offensive, for that I thoroughly apologised . Trust me, it was a comment made in the spur of the moment and that I have nothing against otakus. Peace
