Damn it!

Why do they gotta vilianise the swim teach like that?? It been a while since I read it but his whole ‘break up/rejection’ arc ended kinda nice, but they just had to set him up as an obsessive guy (but it didn’t really suit his character iirc) to give the couple that final push.

I would’ve much preferred if they kept him as a good hearted (but broken hearted) swim teach that wholeheartedly gave advice despite having to hand over the guy he loved.

And then given him his own side story (cuz it’s yaoi law you can’t have a nice and I guess liked(?) reaccuring character that doesn’t get his own happy ending y’know), maybe a cliche student x teach with one of the swim bois.
