Guys well I know this is an excuse but in Japanese culture having white skin is very important for the society to not shun you and this manga was created by a Japanese oh it might be because the Japanese people wanted her to have white skin and although I absolutely hate that her skin turned white also but it's just how they are it's just how Japanese are it's not just Japanese but most of Asia is we have been discriminated for having dimmed skin and having white skin equals being rich and having slightly dark skin meaning your poor.

Now now having white skin doesn't mean that we're obsessed with Europeans. personally I like tan skin and I'm Asian but a lot of Asian like white skin. This associate to hundreds and thousands of years ago having white skin meaning you're rich because you don't go outside and do much you just stay inside so you can stay white and for the poor they have to go outside to do crops and farming that's why their skin is black. A lot of Asian who are in Asia and not actually living in Europe or the US tends to think that it's not racist like the trend that's on Chinese tik tok where you basically make your yourself look "black'' well it's not like making yourself look black but make yourself look like you're from a tribe and they thought that it was pretty and a cool thing to do but a lot of American who went on there said it was racist and they didn't understand why it's racist. so please don't think this is racist it's mostly because how society in Asia treats people with dimmed skin that's why they like white skin more and don't think that it's racist but if they do know that it's racist then that's a problem which I think they don't
