How does Mildred even know that she's in Cinderella? There's no proof except a similar backstory. What makes her so sure?

    Isn't it because she was reading the book before her death? So she immediately recognized which story she was in

    I guess if she were reading a version where the characters all had those names, it'd make sense.

    I dont think so? It just stated that there is a famous fairytale called cinderella, and her situation looks like cinderella fairytale, which make her asssumed that she is inside cinderella world? I dont think it is the real cinderella world, imo she just assumed it as cinderella world because of the similar situation?

    Agree with you. I think she just assume her situation inside cinderella story because of some coincidences. But it is not the actual cinderella story
