Honestly I'm pretty sure he just went on to be indifferent towards Tia when they grew up like straight on doesn't care what she does, and the only reason he became sooo despicable was after the arrival of Jieun
I'm judging his OLD self! And confirming the fact that the reason he acted the way he did was because of the envy he had towards Tia. I hate old Ruvelis... And I KNOW he's different now plus I've said this before in a previous comment, I don't dislike the current Ruvelis. Tia's changed, he changed, everyone else did too and good riddance for that!

The reason why he hated Tia was envy *sigh* I understand where he's coming from because he had been neglected and missing love during his childhood, but still wtf bruh it's not her fault she's liked and loved plus Tia worked so hard to be an exemplary empress she even neglected her personal life and feelings! I'm with Tia not being able to easily forgive and forget what happened before returning to the past though hmmm
