I agree with your opinion with the priest, of course the priest will ask for the princess since it was said by a god that those with jewel eyes could stop evil but then again the princess is still a child.
And the king, I guess it was on the early chapters that the mother was from a specific clan, and if they die they are forgotten so that is why. It's like you don't want to forget something but you would. i dunno hahaha
I honestly can’t blame the priest. He’s only looking out for the empire and wanting to keep it safe, he chose protecting millions of lives instead of one child. HOWEVER, I can blame him for being a bastard ! He’s being annoying asf, and no one should try to take a child’s freedom and life away without knowing what they went through in the past. So like, I’m not “KILL THAT MOTHERFUCKER”, but I’m also not “Everyone should be kind to the priest !” I’m more like “throw that guy in jail and move on”
Also, dad king is great but still can’t like him since he left the daughter alone for years and let the mother die alone :”(
