How did my clown ass only now realize, on re-reading, that tomoe and minoru look exactly the same;;;;IS TOMOE A MAN?? DID I JUST NOT PICK UP THAT CONTEXT CLUE YET??I THOUGHT TWAS A WOMAN?? OR IS IT STILL A WOMAN??
Not that the gender identity makes a difference in the larger scheme of things, but if tomoe was a man it'd be strange for Maru to not even bring up once how tomoe and minoru look like the exact same person, not just their "soul".
Another thought-
Tropes where one reincarnates but the other past lover doesn't are really difficult for me, personally, to come to terms with, in the situation that the new reincarnation has a completely different personality and consciousness from their past self. It kinda feels like cheating?idk.
