This was what somebody else said in the comments ----- "I love how even she admits that the speech was BS. what she said wasn't her story, nor was it Penelope's. She merely imagined it to be like that to make her "brother" realize the idiocy of his actions, for thinking that "she" had replaced his real sister and manipulated their "father" into forgetting the real sister. I'm looking forward to the next season, and how her "brothers" grow thanks to her help."
We have no ways to know. It might happened and it might not, since it isn't mentioned in the game. What Penelope try to say is that pink guy would never understand the rock-bottom people and judge her by his standard, that he is wrapped in his own delusion to make penelope the target of his blame and hatred.
But, making someone to even say this kind of dialogue is still hecking devastating, for the least of understanding to say that is watching that yourself, experience it first-hand, or got told of like the pink guy. 〒_〒

In ch.44, when she was talking about her childhood... Was that her real story? Is that actually what happened to her in her original world? Cause if so that is fucking devastating
