I mean we still don't know her reasoning behind hiding the kid and then trying to get away from him. We just know she ran away when she found out she was pregnant. If it is a bad and/or stupid reason than I would agree with you but I like to give the character a chance before coming to a conclusion.
Well she keeps saying " He " can't find out, not the ML but the person she is truly hiding from. Like a few chapters back, it goes to a scene where some says " I finally found you Gaia." So she is obviously hiding from that person, to protect her child, and the ML.
What this commenter is say, is why couldn't she just have said " Hey, this is our kid and I ran away because so-and-so would do this and that to you and the child. So I didn't want to put the both of you in danger, so I ran away and hid myself and started anew. So could you please help me with this and that. I'm sorry for hiding this from you and running away that night"
It would be so much easier than dragging it out for this long.night

the translation is genuinely bad and the fl is so infuriating. the guy deserves to be acknowledged because he's the biological father but noooo, the stupid fl is too selfish. the child deserves to grow up in a complete family but the fl's pride seems to matter much more than that.
