I think some forget this is in more of a medieval setting rather than contemporary though that kind of insubordination in a military setting would probably get you in a lot of trouble as well.

But on some real shit I don't think she fully understands that she's acting as a guy so she could wholeheartedly refuse him because of man privilege which I don't think she's aware of and because of her unawareness is why I'm getting irritated because women don't have rights in that time period, so it only makes sense that because she's posing as a man she should be more firm with her demands.
