Lol still how dare you
To each their own anyway
However Im guessing you're one of those who see a flaw in everything, always looking for sexism and whatever in everything - even if it's something reflects a certain group of people or society without the intent of being sexist.. clichéd and cringey ? it WAS a typical shoujo I admit it, but you obviously missed the MAIN messages the author was trying to deliver, but I wouldn't expect that of someone who - again - looks for a flaw in everything :)

How did I not see the last part of this until now? Didn’t notice the expand part and thought you left it on an appropriate, civilized note. That’s my bad.
Yes, I think it’s a shit anime, so I must be looking for flaws in everything. Damn feminists and there... not liking rape culture and wanting decent female representation? Lemme leave you an excerpt:
"Here is a list of some of the clichés used in this anime. There are two girls that are just so pretty that the guys all love them and as a result the girls all hate them. Petty love triangles. Girl falls for a guy because he shows basic human decency. Girl falls for the guy even though he's a huge ass that emotionally, physically, and verbally abuses her. Overprotective love interest. Long lost love. Girl stalking the guy she likes. Other annoying crap."
So no, I’m not the only person who thinks that series is shit, and that review event complains about the rape bit, too.
I actually really like this manga? I just had a critique and shared it, but it appears that you’re one of those people who’ll rip others down for not worshipping stuff you like. Yeah, Ao Haru Ride is overrated and poorly written. So is Naruto. So are a million other series with a cult like backing. Not everyone’s going to like what you like. Some people are going to have criticisms. Some people are going to love it AND have criticisms because they can acknowledge great pieces of work can have issues within them. Some of my absolute favorite series have issues in them. Because nothing is perfect. You sound like a Steven Universe fan. "Someone does not worship my series? Go on the attack!"

Yeah my friend wrote a giant review on MAL on why it was trash and I agree 100%. Can link it if you’re interested. It’s not a popular opinion, but it’s nice that many agree. And it’s not just about the sexism. Even without that it’s just like… oh wow, a girl who’s so beautiful that every other girl is jealous and hates her, a dumb love triangle, a girl who falls for a guy after he shows her basic human decency, a male lead who treats the female lead like trash but for some reason she continues to like him. This writing is absolutely A-tier and has also never been done before. As for the sexism, more than anything else, for me it was mainly the fake-out rape scene. Pins her to the ground and is like, “Be careful with men I could assault you if I wanted.” Oh wow, what a gentleman for not raping her and she’s like, “omg he’s so kinda” like I woulda pepper sprayed that motherfucker so bad lmao
"What if I attacked you?" UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH. I hate this trope. You are not being a good person or charming by saying you could rape someone if you wanted to.
