Do you think the love between Richard and Buckingham is truly genuine? I'm only asking cause I've gotten sooooo invested in this manga and love it so much so I'm curious to hear others opinions on it. I've seen ppl saying its not 'real love' or Buckingham is just using Richard to manipulate him for his own good. I've only read up to vol. 10 but of course I've seen the recent spoilers so I know what to expect later on but I do wonder if Richard truly loves Buckingham or vice versa. And of course I can't help but wonder about Henry because there was something between him and Richard right? I'm so conflicted.....

Yes. To be honest, I was also against Buckingham after he took advantage of Richard, also because we’re ofc all about King Henry. However, Buckingham did managed to love Richard with all his heart, and the same goes for Richard. Richard finally found someone he could be comfortable with, and he says he could no longer sleep without Buckingham by his side. There is also a part where Richard became the king and thought he had to sleep with Anne. Y’know what Richard did? HE ASKED BUCKINGHAM IF IT’S OKAY TO DO IT. Buckingham was about to go crazy that night and Richard couldn’t do it. He ran after Buckingham and the two stayed together. Yes, their relationship definitely did not begin as lovely as Richard and Henry IV’s relationship, but Buckingham and Richard love each other. For Richard, being the king is his whole purpose in life, but there were so many times he abandoned his king duties all for Buckingham. I’m really sad whenever people hated on Buckingham. If only someone would translate and upload the raws, honestly, Buckingham is the best ML I’ve ever saw (STILL HOPEFULLY PRAYING NOTHING BAD HAPPEN TO THIS GUY DUE TO HIS REBELLION THO). I REAAAAALLY HOPE THE AUTHOR DON’T CUT US SHORT AND making some BS by making Henry IV come back cause Richard and Buckingham is already way too obsessed over each other. Also, THEY’RE ABOUT TO HAVE A BABY. Oh, right. Richard also told Buckingham that his first love is Henry IV. And it just so happen that Buckingham’s first name is Henry, too. So... there was a misunderstanding that happened whenever Richard called Buckingham his name lmao.

Oh god wow you're really selling me on their relationship lol but now I'm even more conflicted cause Ima be honest I was rooting for Richard and Henry to be together from the beginning so when he was 'killed off' I was suuuuper pissed but when he came back I was hell ya thank you but with Buckingham now in the picture I'm not so sure about Henry being with Richard. Oh and question, so Richard loves Buckingham and is now pregnant with his child but I've heard that Richard doesnt want the child....is that really true? If so is it because he only cares about being king? And does Henry know he's pregnant? omg sorry for asking too many questions >.< I just have all these theories how things will play out for Richard so I'm curious of what other ppl think

Yeah, as I said, Richard did became pregnant with Buck’s child and the dude was obviously in heaven when he heard about it but Richard do not want the child because the King can’t get pregnant (because if he did, obv his female self would have to be revealed and everything they did to get the crown would be useless). Also, Anne, Richard’s wife, already suspected that there is smth going with Richard and Buckingham. If you’re asking about King Henry knowing the pregnancy, there is nothing yet in the latest raw, but Henry had an inkling that he and Richard knew each other before he lost his memories—which made him and Buckingham glare at each other lol. There is also James (not our Henry) who wants the throne. According to history, James will marry Edward IV’s princess after he becomes the king so as for now, I still stand that Buckingham and Richard would have to play dead in the end and live in peace after all the rebellion that would happen...

Hmmmm interesting okay now I'm really curious of how this story will end. Some say because its Shakespeare and all that that Richard will prob die, which I can see but I have this theory of how ending will be and I just gotta say it. So according to Richard III (the play that is) Richard does die in the end and not just dies but ends up being killed by someone named Henry. Soooo I'm thinking maybe the reason why the author decided to have Henry mysteriously return is because he's gonna be the one to kill Richard buuuut this is just my theory I could be wrong. I can go more in depth but it'd prob take too long to explain. And now that I've heard all these good things about Buckingham, I can see Richard choosing him and those two running off somewhere and living happily ever after....but then again I remind myself this is Shakespeare sooo I'm not expexting a happy ending but hoping for one at least. Oh and also wasn't Buckingham killed by Richard in the play? If the author somehow made that happen in this story with how things are between the two damn that would be a twist.

Yeah, the part where Richard gave death sentence to Buckingham in Shakespeare’s story also makes me worried. There is also the fact where Richard did tried to kill King Henry, the man he loved, with his own hands. According to the raws, though, I just can’t see King Henry (now assassin) killing Richard because he’s now way too loyal and fixated on him, but then again, there is Buckingham whose sole purpose used to be making Richard the perfect king is now rebelling against him out of love. Also, Henry’s memories are starting to come back to him, so if he would kill Richard, it’ll probably be because he know about his body and his “religiousness” would take over—which has about less than 1% of that happening lmao. If sensei follows the part where Richard would kill Buckingham, I honestly don’t know how... at this point of the story, Buckingham is way too important for Richard—although he did slapped him in the face when he said he doesn’t want to give birth... If Buckingham would die, he’s honestly gonna be the most pitiful, I might cry lmaooo. I’ve fallen way too hard with their secret love relationship so it’s gonna be way too painful... Buckingham was literally ready to abandon everything so, yeah, if he died, my heart shalt be with him until the last moment. ╥﹏╥ Ah, or wait, if they’re gonna play dead, and Henry is the one who would kill Richard, then Henry could be an actor on the play too because y’know, he does feel extreme amount of loyalty for Richard, too. —just a sudden thought. I have this inkling maybe the history in the books would record their deaths while the twist would be they’re alive... sigh. I’m way too invested over BuckinghamxRichard right now, it’s no good... hahaha

Seriously now I really wanna give Buckingham my blessing but I just finished ch. 43....ngl I felt he was kinda rapey o.o BUT I'll wait until I read further chapters to really form my opinion of him. Idk if its just how he looks but like I look at him and I think 'yeah he's gotta be the bad guy he just has that look' but then I'm like 'well him and Richard do kinda look good together sooooo yeah maybe it will work out' lmao. But I'm still trying to guess as to WHY Henry came back. And how too. Like the author could of just had him killed off like we had previously thought but no he's back and I don't exactly know why and its bothering me lol I mean I'm sure its gonna revealed later on but now I'm thinking okay lets say Henry won't kill Richard because you did say he's too loyal to him which now makes sense to me, so what if because of this rebellion put forth by Buckingham he wants Richard dead and tries to kill Richard himself but then Henry somehow finds out and ends up someway or another killing Buckingham :O oof I'm getting in too deep with these theories lmao

Oh, yeah, I feel you about the part where Buckingham definitely looks like a bad guy HAHAHAHAHA At first, I was also, “...Oh no, Richard, Honey, please stop associating yourself with him” cause he definitely looks like the guy that would whisper devil’s words unto your ears HAHAHAHAHA While on the other hand, Henry was portrayed as a Saint and have the purest soul even as a king. Personality wise, it was impossible for Henry and Richard to be together in a romantic way though, while Buckingham and Richard, they have this weird same aura that just made them understand each other better than anyone else—I don’t want to say it, but yeah, they’re like both devils HAHAHAHAHA This is also why I really wish the next volume to be up and someone upload the translations here, because Buckingham honestly don’t deserve all the hate. His character design and Henry’s just happen to be like Black and White. And some people might raise their brows because of his rebellion against Richard and him turning psycho and kidnapping Richard (which he didn’t really hurt him, and Richard even understand why he became mad—because he doesn’t want the baby). I mean, c’mon, Buckingham did everything for Richard, swore his whole soul to him, loved him, accept him (which, mind you, smth Henry didn’t do), and all Buck wants for Richard is for him to not kill their child... Really, too much love can kill you ╥﹏╥ Also, when he wanted to make Richard the king, it was made very clear that he didn’t have any ulterior motives. He just wanted to be the king maker and put the perfect king on the throne, nothing more, nothing less. Ughhh I’m so sorry guys... Buckingham just really captured my heart. I want all of you guys to see it too ╥﹏╥

You're totally right about the whole Henry being so pure and Richard being the 'demon child' that they wouldn't really work out...damn I swear I didn't even realize that so now it makes perfect sense to me why Richard and Buckingham would be a better fit than Richard and Henry. Hmm... I get it now hahaha oh but I may have been mistaken but doesn't Buckingham have a wife? I could've sworn there was chapter where Richard, Buckingham, and Catesby were talking and what not and there was the question of like....who do love the most or maybe something about who is the most beautiful...ugh I cant exactly remember but wasn't it Richard who said to Buckingham like 'what about your wife'?? If so what's up with her or is she like non existent at this point in the story like we just haven't seen her? Again I could be mistaken if so maybe I just got confused when Richard was talking about Anne lol idk

You’re right. It was on chapter 33 where they talk about their wives and Buckingham said, “I embrace her regularly”, but Idk. There have been so many times that Buckingham could have shown her, but he never did. It’s prob because she’s either non-existent or they don’t really give a f about what each other do lololol There’s also the start of rebellion, so if he did have a wife, she should appear pretty soon so we could see her reaction on her husband’s rebellion against the crown. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Ahhh I knew it! Okay I knew I read somewhere him mentioning his wife okay cool haha now I'm excited for this rebellion arc like is she gonna appear? What does she look like? And does she know about Richard? *rubs hands together* This is gonna be exciting, I can't wait to see the drama unfold lmao ^.^ Though I wonder how many more volumes there will be, I know there's currently 14 but I saw a post on tumblr that said the author was only gonna do 16 volumes of this and...well thinking how many chapters are in each volume so like 4 or 5 then considering there's only 2 volumes left, that would only leave like 10 chapters left. With everything that's happened so far with Richard, Buckingham, Henry and everyone else do you think it will end that soon? Seems kinda short to me. I couldn't find anything else online about author saying that so I hope its not true, ugh god last thing I would want is a rushed ending :/

I really wanna know how sensei would handle Buck’s rebellion and James’ ascension to the throne too.

And yeah, sensei did confirmed that the manga would only have 16 volumes so it’ll prob be exact 80 chapters or so. I don’t think it would be that rushed though, considering that one chapter has a lot of pages, and very long compared to other mangas. ┑(￣Д ￣)┍ But my only wish tbh is to at least see their baby at the end fufufu

Oh really so just 16 volumes damn okay didn't expect that to be true. Hmmm I just want to see a happy end for Richard no matter what, I've grown too attached to him so just seeing him die off that would be heart breaking. I'm expecting someone important to die like its Shakespeare c'mon there's gotta be like a tragic ending right? lol hope I'm wrong though so fingers crossed. And yeah I am kinda rooting for Buckingham too but goddamn I swear if he tries to hurt Richard or even tries to kill him then NOPE I'm done with him lol I think it will come down to Richard ultimately having to decide on whether to choose him being king, which was always his goal, or being with the one who truly excepted him and loved him for who he was and I think one of those decisions will be his downfall...like possibly a death sentence for him ugh its sad to think about

Ikr. But I don’t think we’d have to worry about Buckingham hurting Richard, especially since he know that he’s pregnant. I think we would have to worry more about Buckingham here and what would Richard choose to do. If he chose the crown, he would have to abort/hide his child and sentence Buckingham to death (like history) or if he surrendered the crown, he would have to run away together with Buckingham... ╥﹏╥ Although considering the next queen, which is Richard’s niece (history), then Richard and Buck still has the chance to live in hiding still...

Ugh so much to think of >.< I could see all of those possible outcomes but like I've said I just want Richard to be happy. Also lets say Richard keeps the baby I am soooo curious as to who it will look like. Both Richard and Buckingham are somewhat...ish similar in appearance so seeing a lil mini version of those two...I can't help but think of bby Richard, jesus he was so cute (づ￣ ³￣)づ

You ever get so emotionally invested in characters that you wanna root for them and want them to be happy but its one of the stories that you know is gonna have like a bad outcome in the end and you're prob gonna be left heart broken for the characters, this is that manga for me, like sometimes I wish I didn't start reading this so I can save myself from the heartbreak lol but all in all I love this manga, sensei really knows how to write out characters that you feel for and a plot that keeps you hooked, I think this sooo underated ahhh I wish more ppl talked about this but I'm excited this is getting an anime like they best not butcher this beautiful piece of work lmao

Okay, so like, I read the whole thing again (out of obsession lmaooo), and noticed at chapter 50 that Jane, the witch, offered Richard some abortion potion just to tease him—red flag ahem—and at chapter 64 is when Richard and Buck has some good sweetie moments and Richard told Buck that he was pregnant and Buck was so dang happy about it—until Richard said he want to end things between them... ╥﹏╥ And at chapter 68, which is the start of Buck’s rebellion, he was staring at the forest woods and remembered his deary moments with his beloved Richard ╥﹏╥ All the time, I was like, y’all I don’t understand all the hate for this guy... this guy deserves all from Richard... he managed to put Buck on heaven and shove him straight to hell right after (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ Also, if everyone remembers still, wasn’t it Buck who always manage to find Richard whenever he was on a tight situation? Like, when the York rebelled against Henry, and following him, watching over the guy even at the drug party... T___T SRSLY. I DEMAND JUSTICE FOR THIS GUY

lmao I don't see why ppl hate on Buckingham either I mean I was one of those who didn't like him at first (not hate though like some ppl) but him and Richard are sooooo similar in what they desire and Buckingham even helped Richard achieve his dream of attaining the crown like if that ain't love idk what is haha and he accepted Richard's body for what is was so that too was a point in my book lol. And yeah about Buckingham being there for Richard whenever he was in a dire situation yeah you're correct. I mean wasn't it at the end of chapter 54 or 55 (can't exactly remember) after Richard got shot by the arrow Buckingham says 'if one half is lost the remaining half also dies' like isn't that pretty clear that he cares deeply for Richard and doesn't want to lose him? That's how I perceived it unless I'm wrong lol. Also wanna mention Richard cares for Buckingham too, it ain't just one sided. Like didn't Richard ask Buckingham to stay with him or hold him (something like that) and he vowed to do so? It's kinda sad now to see Richard push Buckingham away after everything that's happened. I guess being king is more important to him than their child :'(
