In a way she's the plot device to move things forward, because remember our FL is not the one who's reincarnated, the author is. So far we readers know nothing about the ML ambition, which I think we'll slowly uncover through the author's actions. I'm not really worried about her stealing FL place because she's never meant to be but a plot device and a comedic relief.
Am I the only one who loves the idea of the person being reincarnated being a side character that has no plot relevance. Like author is trying so hard to be the main character but it's just not gonna happen sis
