Why wasn't this tagged tragedy or psychological or rape or anything remotely indicative of her horrific experience?

On ch1: "They...used every inch of her until she could no longer move. Then they abandoned her in a dungeon."

Idk if I have a pure mind or what but I read that as overwork, not rape

    1. The image behind the text showed her legs exposed more than usual.
    2. The topic was a taboo. If it were just overwork, the general reaction would have just been anger or sadness.
    3. It would be weird to word it like that if it wasn't.
    4. It's highly unlikely for adventurers in that context, presumably men and undoubtedly scum, to not take advantage of a woman that way, given that there was no monster to escape from or treasure to split mentioned to be involved.

There was no rape, it more like she suffered from an insane amount of abuse rather than rape, as far as we know. The topic was likely taboo b/c it was abusive and demeaning. Plus everything is described rather than shown, so it wouldn't be considered a tragedy nor psychological.

i doubt it would be anything that serious...for me i thought they meant that they used every ounce of her magic (or like her house keeping skills) to the point where she becomes mentally and physically weak. Especially if you consider the fact that she a a weak magic user.

Magic here, seems like another source of life, so basically using up all your magic, drains your body ( if you have watched or read many fantasy based films, books, novels etc there are many scenes where a character suffers the consequences of using up too much of their magic.) So what i'm trying to say is...her ex group used her (magic) and didn't heal or recover any of her magic, they also didn't upgrade her gear nor did they even treat her as a member. They treated her as a useful tool and then abandoned her when she could no longer be of use, meaning she could no longer use her skill.

Bruh no. I don’t think they raped her at all. That quote I can clearly tell means that they took everything from her whether it was all her money, supplies, loot, energy from making her overuse her powers. The quote itself means exactly as it is, you’re just thinking too deep into it. Plus I looked back to see that image you were talking about and I can just barely see her skin/legs in the image lmao. I think you’re reaching too far for your theory and tried finding more evidence to help it. I think it’s a bit odd that you expected them to automatically resort to rape, I think you’re too used to seeing that in other stories you’ve read.

I think everyone’s treating it as a taboo because it’s set in a world with guilds and adventures, so I don’t think that this type of situation is uncommon. This sort of treatment is clearly really looked down upon so maybe that’s why everyone takes it so seriously (also the fact that the FL is really kind so everyone cares for her). And I don’t think it’s just because it was overwork. It’s as if her group members didn’t even see her as another human being, but as a tool they could use whenever they wanted.

They just cleared it up in the latest chapter, she was never raped, her old team overworked her and she collapsed when she used up all her magic power in the dungeons. So after the ex-guild master introduced her to the group she joined hoping to find a place to belong after realizing she could never go back to Japan.

For a while it seemed to be going well, at least on the surface, but they had been making her pay for all of their supplies (armor, food, etc.) so while they were all in amazing armor she was still using her old armor. On top of that she wasn’t ranking up with the rest of the group members because they were manipulating her results/papers with the help of the ex-guild master. They also canceled her contract with her home and basically cut her off from the rest of the guildmembers that cared about her. She stayed with them because she felt obligated too as well as her want to have a place to belong. Which, at the time, she thought was with them.

Her friends/guildmembers have been worried about her and after hearing that her group members canceled the contract for her home without her being present, started to investigate. They found out about how she’d been paying for all of their supplies and that they had been altering her experience measurements/assessment records so that she couldn’t level up.

Shiori and the rest of her group were on a quest at the time so they waited until her group came back and confronted them. When they met her group as they came back from their job they noticed Shiori wasn’t with them. Her group members claimed that she had a “fatal” wound and they were forced to leave her behind. Since they hadn’t gotten the quest through the guild, her friends weren’t able to find out where they had gone unless her group members told them (which they didn’t fucking pricks)

Fast forward a few days and they were called by the guards who were guarding the entrance of the city. A slime (her present familiar) had carried her to the city after realizing she was dying.

Later, her rumored boyfriend (he was also part of her group) confessed that they had been on a quest for a noble. During said quest, Shiori had collapsed from overwork and exhausting all her magic. Her groupmembers had decided that she wasn’t useful to them anymore and would only be a hindrance so they stole all of her money and whatever items she had brought and left her in the dungeon to die.

Yeah that was a lot longer than I thought it would be hope it clears up the rape part though. If she was raped it was never explicitly mentioned in the webtoon
