I think that 704 was a human that commited suicide because of hwan, and geumsen knew him. There are a lot of stories (like kuroshitsuji) were reapers are humans tha killed themselves.

It’s not that confusing y’all! Reapers are humans who do grave sins and repent for them by become a reaper but they forget all their memory from when they were alive. From the look on his face, he most likely knew him (probably from the incident he had with Hwan that let him sleep for a while). Ya a obviously likes to taunt him and that’s probably why he did it
