Apparently, because they killed off the real daughter the disaster immediately happened and that's when the father realized that he was wrong. He then got the help of the magician to turn back time and in the process of the spell, lost his memories. He's so full of shit tho, he only felt guilty and sad for executing her in the end, when her whole life he never gave a shit about her and never even listened to her point of view when when people accused her.

Ok so at first I thought the one who brought her back or i guess reversed time was her dad. But after rereading the chapter and looking closely I think it was the "magician" they mentioned earlier the one that spends all his time in the tower. Maybe he did it cuz she is the real one and is essential? I'm just guessing, can you imagine though? being a powerful warlock and having to reverse time to save the land and ppl cuz of how completely stupid everybody is?
