also he didnt join the fight until the very end and did it for self defense more than just to kill them
even one of the werewolves took it upon them to take him away to a safer location probably they realized marlene's own complicated emotions
I guess it's because Coyote fell in love with marlene first then later knew the truth that marlene is a werewolf hunter?
He did admitted it yes, but he didn’t kill them in cold blood. As the other commenter said, it was more like self defense. He realised his mistake and was remorseful hence he ran away from his family after that incident.
Marlene didn’t really do anything major for Coyote to hate him to the core. The conflict is due to misunderstanding and Marlene not coming forward early on, making Coyote find out things on his own, put 2 and 2 together and he got 5. Know what I mean?

Well he never really hunted werewolves, he was investigating them however. I think you'll understand the situation a bit better if you reread chapter 12 where he talks to him, it's been building up and he's tried to talk about it earlier on so I'm sure Lili has been harbouring doubts as to whether what he knows is the truth so listening to the whole story from Marlene cleared things up for him. He had a lot of time to adjust to the fact that Marlene just went and offered himself to the werewolves which doesn't speak of a violent person killing his brethren (=・ω・=)
hi sorry i re-read this and got a lil confused by the plot. how come lili forgave marlene so easily? didn’t marlene admit to killing the 3 werewolves
