Theres this vibe that i can't explain while reading it. It's kinda mix with something like how the characters revolve around the mc and how each like their lives and communication is so different. But I'll continue to read just wanna see what will happen to their relationship if theres a third wheel to come or just have a relationship full of struggles from both parties. (〜￣△￣)〜
i agree with everything you said, except for the gay part. homophobia is very prevalent in the world, especially in hyper-conservative countries like south korea, and many kids are kicked out and disowned for being gay/lgbtq+. it’s definitely not out of the norm. there are people literally blaming the COVID-19 crisis in gay people, like gay people are not nearly as universally acceptable as you seem to think.
Oh sorry I didn’t make that clear did I. I was talking about the story world since no one seems to bat an eye when the MC announces he was a boyfriend and when the popular guy confesses.
Is it just me or does something feel kind of...off about this story? It’s not great enough to get me to stop reading cus I’m already kind of invested in seeing the seme get his ass kicked after that jerk move but I can’t shake the off-ness that a lot of the flaws of this story is giving me.
First thing is the fact that the characters are introduced as a set of 5 then seemingly never hang out afterwards. They’re suppose to be friends yet never seen them together. Also no offense but most of not all of them have personalities that piss me off and I have no idea why the even keep them if he actually kept tabs on them like he seems to do. Also it felt like a huge point to that was that he has dirt in all these people so they can’t “go against him” but they clearly act in ways that say they don’t care care and he doesn’t care so why even make that point? It was like “he has dirt on me, be careful he likes you. Oh, your dating? Well whatever it’s not like he uses it anyway, just know he’s manipulative, the end.” Also how fast the mc abandoned his whole inferiority complex shtick despite it being the first trait he’s introduced with. Also I’m mildly disturbed at how fast the puppy guy fell in life with the mc and how much a stalker he seems to be and yet everyone’s just kind of giving with it. I’m also very frustrated that they haven’t fully fleshed out the 5 guys yet because it feels like we’re starting to get into the conflict with the dad and his sons friends or whatever. Being gay feels like something very widely accepted in this universe to the point of it being normal so I can’t imagine that the dad only hates him for that reason but if his dad has a usefulness scale for his sons friends then at least define it cus clearly he let the other dudes pass and the only background we have is on one of them that’s a rich playboy scum. The others don’t seem like anything special so please for crying out loud define this goddamn criteria for friends. Last note, Seme is being a jerk and pissing me off, Bakugo rip off needs to shut up and confess cus he’s pissing me off, and it feels like the mc did a personality change after his boyfriend went afk on him that it’s pissing me off.
Shoot, this was a lot now that I’m looking at it but I’m already invested and like this.
