He did ask jinyao however, jinyao wants baby rou rou and his grandpa to meet after his grandpa was discharge from the hospital in order to protect rou rou and to prevent his relatives to know about rou rou. Furthermore, jinyao’s grandpa does not want to tell him that his illness is very serious and does not have much time left so that jinyao does not worry too much. Therefore, after many failed attempts in asking jinyao he resorts to that solution because he is very desperate to see his grand grand child before its too late (although it is still very wrong).
