I think he should do one of two things either he should: 1 somehow start to slowly ease her into being fine with the concept of the devil castle, like a frog in a boiling pot OR 2 start adjusting himself to actually become the man she wants. If he just keeps putting up a facade and living this double life, she will find out and not be prepared for it and thus run away. This is my advice for the scary man.
