i think there was no fight, i think they backed off. but jian ye probably wants to make himself stronger cuz he doesnt want to rely on anyone. he probably felt troubled being defended by the other guy, cuz he feels indebted? idk. maybe next chapter will explain more.

I think after He Tian got include in the scene, the guy who tried to start a fight said his gang to beat He Tian and Jian Yi, but He Tian beat them instead. Then leader guy run away but He Tian got hurt and now Jian Yi is upset about it. This is the most logical explanation i found after reading other comments and checking from manhwa.
But who was asking about Jian Yi in the end of the chapter 117? I couldn't give an answer to this :(
