Uhhhh no.

I wanna talk about these new characters Ruda and that wannabe Dan-i bitch.

Ruda is a little too crazy in love for me and honestly is mad weird. Like they're a fucking creep tbh. Who gets attached to somebody so fast like that, like a yandere or sumn. Complete weirdo. And on top of that they got too many secrets. Ruda seems to be involved with some dangerous people and although Dan-i thinks they're a girl I think the author is tryna tell us they're definitely male. And I believe that's possible because Dan-i has changed the whole story and became the main character. Now I wanna completely like Ruda but these things kinda make me conflicted.

Now for the trick ass bitch that's all of a sudden attached to Yeoryeong's hip. She is such a two-faced slut. I thought she was jealous of Yeoryeong and wanted to hurt her, but then I saw her glare at Dan-i and I was like "OoOooOOoOh, so you want HER neck." Why can't she just act like the other friends and just be her friend instead of being a jealous freak? But now that I'm thinking about it, Yeoryeong's other friends are probably in on it too. Fucking vultures.(╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸The fact that this bitch even exists infuriates me but I get that that's her role. Next role I want her to fill is the girl that gets her face bashed into the concrete. Ofc by me(▰˘◡˘▰)ヾ(☆▽☆)

Ok I'm done. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Story is set in a novel, so I think the author just wanted to put the usual character tropes/cliche as obstacles that Dan I have to face even if she knows they are unreasonable and well stupid. It's so full of cliche scenario that Dan I can't even take them seriously.

    Spoiler Long warning.

Example Ruda his motive are weak and not explained. I think the author didn't have a clear idea of his character tbh. He acts like the typical secondary male character that fell in love with protag after 2 encounters. Just like that. If you think about it this happened countless time in shoujo and Chinese / Korean novel even its a norm. A cliche. I can't remember the title but there was this Chinese novel where a kid who met mc for less than 30 minutes falls for her and followed her like a stalker for years eventually becoming the villain. In those 30 minute barely any significant interaction happened yet this guy chase the girl using corrup means and getting his head off and distroy his family's company. I feel like the author with Ruda wanted to pull that cliche from a different prospective without using cuts or convenient effect and dialogue when Mc interact with Ruda. Ruda in that pov just look like a weird guy or a strongly unnatural person that fell in love for no reason.
I can't remember all the details but much much later in the novel it is revealed that Ruda works in the underground (or something) and was really good at unlocking securities, finding people (even criminal), info broker/finder,... Which gained him many enemies that's why he's on the run. Also he serve what the other guys didn't have aka connection and knowledge of the underworld which helped the mc later. Why his father doesn't notice it is beyond me and any reason. He also have a mother that wanted him to work for her or something they don't get along. Overall that revealation doesn't explain Ruda's character trait tho. He feels like a character an author put to test the matter of the story and close some loss end but overall not giving Ruda other job than that.

Choi Yuri is not a wannabe of Dan I... They look alike and have same personality from the start. That's why she's angry and confuse why the guys doesn't see her or ther than the girl that look like Dan I. She hates Dan I because if she's around the guys would never see her more than a lookalike. She could have changed appearance but being she's a spoiled two faced person she's to pride to change her look bc of Dan I. It would feel like she lose to Dan I who she views inferior (not pretty, clever, or rich).
Even Choi Yuri the girl that Dan I looks like, motive and action are the same you see in old Korean manga. Very jealous, ready to do all illegal, dangerous things despite she's just a f*cking teenager. Thinks only one way. She's the typical daddy's daughter that does illegal stuff while putting a good conduct in the front. Even what happened to her is the typical villain-ending cliche you see: Villain that is just unreasonable and doesn't learn, is from rich family had connections, kidnaps heroine, plan failed, exposed, ends in jails put her and have her family fall to ruin. Choi Yuri served as the villain the group have to take dangerous means bf they don't have other options. Not saying the story is straight B&W bc we later discover that the girl that bad mouth Yeoryoung in middle school is now chill and apologize. Eventually become friend with Dan I and well not acting bf of ulterior motive.

The novels cliche in this story is strongly a constant that Dan I can't go against. Example, the scene were top popular students go woah wow I didn't know he was that person I wouldn't mess with them otherwise. Those scenario and side characters that serve to highlight that the love interest (usually) are the one that have elite connection that can back them up even when their in tight position. All that to make the reader think: don't mess with mc bc she has wild dogs at her back ready to bit you off from your social & financial status. The same logic is applied in many "My father is the evil king", where there's this fascination of the idea that the young mc is under the special protection of someobe of power. Many jp otome play this card of mc being a special, have unique powers, is from an extinct species that sort of protect them& attract all kind of troubles because without those element the story would be monotonous and eventless . Same with this story the special thing that attract Yeoryoung and Dan I troubles is that their friends of the hot guys in school. If Dan I didn't have connection with these guys she would probably experience none of the bullying, kidnap, special vip party,....

Woah wow you really...gave me more insight. Thanks for the spoilers (I prolly won't feel spoiled anyways don't worry abt it) Like damn...thank you really!

P.S. I called her a wannabe Dan-i bc 1, she looks a LOT like Dan-i(which you mentioned) and 2, she looked like she was tryna replace her and was jealous. So maybe right idea but wrong word choice. Noted.

Don't worry it's understandable that when a character that looks like the mc shows up and his hanging around her friend plus the frustrated look she throws at Dan I it easy to mistake that she's copying the Dani. We saw Dan I first if she showed before Dan I in this story, Dan I would be the one that would be mistaken of copying the other girl.
Matters of circumstances and timing and well actions...

Rather than trying to replace Dan I she wants her out of the picture. Choi yuri doesn't look like she truly want to befriend and stay friend with Yeoryoung or try to approach the guys proactively. Instead she creates rumors, impersonate DanI in a site ruled by anonymity, and watched in the back as the school rile up to Dan I punching her to intense stress then in the final act Choi Yuri will play the virtuous and good natured person that will step up and tell Dan I she's a horrible person. In short she creates the scenario she'll look good. It's very manipulative and well heavier than the typical villainess display of insult and harming directly. She want her out so she can keep her style/look and have the others feel betrayed by Dan I... At that moment of weakness Choi Yuri will strike as the comforting hand so gain their sympathy while not being compared to Dan I anymore as a lookalike but "someone that was better than Dan I".
But she doesn't want to take Dan I circle of friend. She use Yeoryoung to go after the ML. Even later she doesn't seem to show any interest towards the other guys of the group. Yikes.

Anyway, I recommend the novel "The law of Webnovels", there's more insight of the characters feelings and thoughts that are not said in the webtoon. Like.Dan I in earlier chapters seems contradicting and depressed but it was shown mostly while her thought and dilemma were left to be guessed. If I'm not wrong current last chapter of the webtoon coincide with chapter 144 in the novel (I'm not sure tho) anyway i rec the novel. It's very narrative and introspective of the characters and side characters. ^^
