Yeah I agree. I kinda have mixed feelings, mostly cause I don’t put Dojin on the same pedestal like everyone. Don’t get me wrong, Dojin is very caring and lovable and Hyesung is can be really selfish and intolerable.
My problem was that Hyesung OBVIOUSLY had issues and never seemed to be in the best head space. The thing is that Dojin KEPT TRYING TO BE BRING HIM BACK. When you’re in that situation it will be hard, but when your significant other has problems it was best to let Hyesung take care of those first before caring for a child.
It’s sad because I think Hyesung really needed mental help but never got to because he was in denial and Dojin put so much (PASSIVE) pressure on him too. Like I understand Dojin was supportive and everything, but that doesn’t exclude the fact that Hyesung needed to fix his issues. Dojin never realized that Hyesung raising Byul with issues will only hurt BOTH of them.
There’s also a lot of people who down right hate Hyesung and ignore his development too. Regarding Character, there isn’t much but he’s getting there, I still think that it’s because he never got proper treatment. Although on the other hand, he started putting Byul first above himself which I think people fail to realize. ╥﹏╥
Especially in Chap 54-58, which we can clearly see that he wants the best for Byul. Either way I think Hyesung’s character has a long way to go but he is improving, and Dojin also needs to be objective cause I think his obsession and subjectivity get in the way more than it should.
It is crazy tho that so many people are putting double standards on Chow, but I think his situation is different as he’s alone. He doesn’t have anything or anyone to help him realize that he should work on himself, unlike Hyesung who has Byul to take care of, and he started doing that.
I hope Chow gets help, I really do. :(
